If you're looking for unique, clean, cozy lodgings in Port Jefferson Village, this is the place for you! In our 1800's Victorian, all of our rooms are furnished with antiques from a long range of eras as well as modern amenities, making the accommodations memorable and luxurious. We furnish each room with soft, fresh linens: sheets, towels, and robes. The bedrooms each have unique skeleton-keyed locks for your privacy.
Along with our three private guest bedroom / bathroom spaces, guests also enjoy a shared common space complete with two sofas, a large dining table, a breakfast buffet, sink, fridge, coffee-maker, toaster, and microwave. Breakfast is self-service: we provide all the goodies you'll need for your own smorgasbord. Typical items include a fresh baked good, hard-boiled eggs, Greek yogurt, hot and cold cereal, fresh fruit, bread, jams, snack bars, juice, coffee, and tea. There are snacks and beverages available any time of day, including sweet treats in the freezer! Guests can dine inside or out, as you'll be steps away from a quiet back porch, or if you prefer, you can take your meal down to our beautiful back patio space. Trays are provided for guests to take breakfast wherever they please! We also have a BBQ available for guests to use, but please discuss your plans with the innkeepers prior to use so that we can be sure that it is ready.
Each private bathroom in stocked with basic toiletries you might have forgotten, such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, or lotion. We also provide a hairdrier in each bathroom. Additional toiletries, an iron and board, extra towels, and fresh sheets can be provided upon request, as we do not re-enter guest rooms until after check-out unless requested to do so.
Fox and Owl Inn guests also enjoy a jacuzzi hot tub on the inn's outdoor patio. Bring a bathing suit and get ready to relax! This amenity is included with every stay. For an extra fee, we provide "S'mores by the Fire", a sweet bonfire package perfect for a fun gathering or an intimate evening.

The Meadow
1-3 Guests
'The Meadow' is our sunniest room, boasting five large original Victorian-era windows between the bedroom and the gorgeous en-suite bathroom. This suite offers a queen sized bed, arm chair, daybed, and writing desk, as well as a closet. The Meadow provides sleeping space for three guests: two in a queen bed and one on a very comfortable daybed. The daybed is a "CB2 Lubi Sleeper Daybed," serving as a great place to read a book, take a nap, or spend the night. (Please let the innkeepers know if someone in your party will be using the daybed as an overnight bed so that they can prepare it with a mattress topper and sheets.)
The Meadow features a luxurious Victorian-inspired bathroom with stunning cobalt blue floor tile, a claw-foot tub / shower, and cathedral ceiling with chandelier in the house's 'tower' area. The suite's windows face three directions: the side yard, where guests enjoy bird-watching by the inn's native plantings; Port Jefferson's Main Street; and the northern view from the bathroom, which is sheltered by trees to give bathers the feeling of being in a treehouse!

The Cove
1-3 Guests
Our shore-themed suite includes an iron-and-brass-framed full-sized bed as well as a cozy twin bed for use by an additional guest or simply as a comfortable sitting area. (Please let the innkeepers know if someone in your party will be using the daybed as an overnight bed so that they can prepare it with a mattress topper and sheets.)
Your views are out to the patio/garden area, and over the neighboring grassy slope, where sometimes guests are delighted to see the local rafter of turkeys or herd of deer wandering along.
The en-suite bathroom is a Victorian-style 'Water Closet,' bringing guests back in time with a folding glass-paned door, a top-tank toilet with a pull-chain to flush, and an Italian-tiled shower. The antique-inspired cherry vanity with wash sink is located in the bedroom, like in the old days. This bedroom also features a closet and luggage rack.

The Glen
1-2 Guests
Escape to this classic, relaxing room where guests can enjoy a Maple four-poster queen-sized bed, antique writing desk, and comfy armchair. The Glen windows face the side yard, where guests enjoy bird-watching by the inn's native plantings.
This room includes an entirely private bathroom located across the common space from the bedroom. Though it is not an en-suite bathroom, it is the most spacious of our bathrooms, including a bathtub with shower, large sunny window, antique sink, and copious storage for your toiletries. This bedroom is stocked with long robes for your comfort and privacy while moving through the dining/lounge area to and from the bathroom, and the key to your bedroom locks this bathroom door.

Full Suite
1-8 Guests
When booking all three of our guest rooms, your party will be renting the entire second story of the inn, including three bedrooms listed above, and your group will have exclusive guest access to the inn's common areas. (Of course, the innkeepers, who live on site, will still be around to tend to your needs, and could be out enjoying the home's outdoor spaces at any time.)
This has become a favorite booking option for groups of wedding/reunion guests, families during the holidays, companies for intimate retreats, and other situations where individuals can have private accommodations but also enjoy a home-like living space together.
